Many Hands Make Quick Work

It’s good to have friends! At Harmony, there’s a lot of work to be done - and we’re lucky to have some great partners to do it. 

This past October, Harmony’s friends at the First Presbyterian Church of River Forest stopped by the HCC Food Pantry to help us out. Already, this church has been providing grant funds to our programs in order to make sure that we can make the greatest impact in North Lawndale, and they went above and beyond in joining us for a day of service! 

First Pres volunteers helped supply materials and put together hygiene kits for our New Neighbors Program - along with meal kits to hand out to our shoppers on Wednesday. 

In total, they helped put together around 40 hygiene kits and just as many meal kits. It was a small but mighty operation that showed the power of solidarity in supporting our communities.
