Recapping a Summer of Enrichment
This summer, our Academic Enrichment students stepped out of the classroom and into new experiences across Chicago.
From the magic of live theater at Peter Pan, where two of our students got to play pirates on stage, to the lively music and movement of roller skating at the Martin Luther King Jr. Skating Rink, every trip was a chance to learn, explore, and have fun. Even a rainy day couldn’t dampen spirits downtown, where students completed a scavenger hunt through Millennium Park, discovering art and creativity in unexpected places.
Thanks to your support, some former participants are now returning as chaperones — giving back to the very program that once shaped them
These moments show why enrichment and play are so important. Each outing gave our kids new ways to imagine, create, and see the world beyond their everyday routines. Summer fun becomes more than just a break — it’s a spark that keeps their curiosity and confidence growing long after the season ends.
